Dear Neighbors,

Times are changing in San Leandro and come 2022 there will be a need for new leadership at City Hall to unify a City Council and support the residents of San Leandro. I am happy to share with you that I am running to be the next Mayor of San Leandro because I'm “READY TO Lead”. My reputation in the community of being a trailblazer, forward thinker, and someone consistently supporting community services are attributes that will help lead San Leandro into the future and resolve present issues.

As a former councilmember, I helped raise the minimum wage, created a summer youth trades program, led the ban on flavor tobacco to protect youth and started the New Shoes for School program that is now in its 8th year and has supported hundreds of SLUSD underserved youth. My background working as a Community School Manager with students and families dealing with trauma and needing social & emotional support will be an additional asset I will bring as Mayor.

As Mayor, I promise you will see bold and visionary leadership as we continue to come out of the pandemic with a focus on strengthening our local economy, infrastructure and city services that will help us and protect us, no matter what color we are, language we speak or mental state we are in. You should expect me to work tirelessly on finding solutions to our housing and homelessness challenges the city is facing, while ensuring we have public safety measures in place to keep us safe.

As Mayor, I will focus on developing entrepreneur programs similar to how I helped get the Alameda County Cook from home bill adopted that now supports women, immigrants, and people of color in San Leandro and throughout Alameda County by allowing them to open their own home restaurant to earn a living.

San Leandro Residents, I’m “Ready To Lead” I hope you join me in the journey as together we can make San Leandro a place we are proud to live, raise our families and call home.
